Drilling performed at Karymshinskaya Site in Kamchatka confirmed the gold potential of the facility

North-Eastern Production and Geological Association, JSC (Magadan, a part of Rosgeo state holding) has successfully completed works at Karymshinskaya Site planned for QIII 2018. Here, the company is searching for lode gold in accordance with the state contract concluded by Rosgeo and the Department for Subsoil Use of the Far Eastern Federal District in 2017.

The facility is located in the southeastern part of the Kamchatka Peninsula and is administratively a part of the Ust-Bolsheretskiy and Elizovskiy Districts. The site is located 90 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. The implementation of the state contract is planned to be completed by the end of 2019.

In QIII prospecting traverses as well as mining works aimed at identifying new ore zones, and drilling to trace the already known ones to depth were carried out.

According to the results of prospecting traverses, new vein and vein and stringer zones with ore-grade gold-silver mineralization potential were identified and sampled.

In the central part of the North site, a zone of productive metasomatites with ore mineralization was penetrated by surface mine works. Their defined thickness varies within the range of 40 to 80 meters.

At the Karymshinskaya Site, within the previously established ore-bearing zones, drilling operations are carried out to localize and assess the estimated gold resources in category P1. The thickness and composition of penetrated formations generally correspond to indicators established on the surface by the predecessors.

In QIV it is planned to continue mining and drilling to further study ore-bearing formations, perform laboratory research and office processing of the data obtained.
