Rosgeo has commenced searching for gold in Deryas-Yuryaginskaya Area in the Magadan Region

North-Eastern Production and Geological Association, JSC (Magadan, a part of Rosgeo state holding) has completed preparation of project for carrying out works on the Deryas-Yuryaginskaya prospective area. Here, the company is searching for ore gold within the framework of the state contract concluded by Rosgeo and the Subsoil Management Department of the Far Eastern Federal District this year.

The facility is located in the Srednekansky District of the Magadan region, 35 km from the large district center, Seymchan village. The total survey area will make up 69 km2. The main objective of the project is to localize and assess the estimated gold resources in categories P1 and P2, to prepare guidelines as regards the direction of further geological exploration within the area. Contract is planned to be executed until the end of 2020.

During Q3 of 2018 the lithochemical survey in 1: 10000 scale and geophysical work with the use of IP-VES methods at the predicted Zarky gold ore field were fully completed. Within the limits of potential ore-bearing zones identified during the previous works stages, the excavation was started. It will allow the predetermination of this area ore saturation extent.

In Q4, it is planned to complete mining at Zharky and proceed to laboratory studies, as well as office processing of the information being received.
