Rosgeo is a Russian multi-industry geological parent company, which renders a full range of services related to geological exploration, i.e. from areal studies to stratigraphy and subsoil monitoring. The parent company has distinctive competencies, in particular, in the field of marine geology and offshore operations. Rosgeo was founded according to RF President’s Decree No. 957 of July 15, 2011 based upon one of the oldest exploration companies in Russia – Tsentrgeologiya.

The parent company’s enterprises operate in all eight Federal Districts of Russia.

JSC "Volgogradneftegeofizika" traces its history since 1950.  During its existence the Company has fulfilled more than 200,000 linear kilometers of 2D MOGT seismic profiles, more than 6, 500 square kilometers of 3D MOGT seismic profiles in the territories of the Volgograd, Saratov, Samara, Orenburg, Ulyanovsk, Rostov, Astrakhan Regions, the Chechen Republic and the Republic of Kalmykia. Almost the entire territory of the Volgograd Region has been studied by the electric exploration methods. Specialists of the Company took part in various foreign projects (India, Algeria, Iran, and Uzbekistan).

According to seismic data, it is recommended to drill more than 350 structures and more than 50 hydrocarbon fields with total reserves of more than 90 million tons of standard fuel were open, including Pamyatno-Sasovskoye oil field, which is the largest in the Volgograd Region. The Company’s field workers are the partners in all discovered hydrocarbon deposits on the Volgograd land and Tengiz, one of the largest fields of the former USSR, where they were the main performers of field and geophysical research.

The rich experience and professionalism of geophysicists-field workers, as well as unique equipment, allowed to perform a set of geophysical studies in super-deep wells in the Guryev Arch (1990, well No. 3 with drilled depth of 6, 392 m) and within the cis-Caspian Depression (1991, Akhtubinskaya well No. 1 with drilled depth of 7, 014 m; 1998, Chernaya Padina well No. 1 with drilled depth of 5, 968 m).

Many years of experience together with modern equipment and software allow the Company to achieve effective geological results, allowing customers to save significant funds in further geological studies of their license areas.
