Rosgeo will prospect for hardrock gold within the Deryas-Yuryaginskaya prospective area. The relevant state contract is made between the holding and the Department for Subsoil Use for the Far Eastern Federal District.
The object is located in the Srednekanskiy district of the Magadan Region. The prospecting work is to cover total 69 sq. km. The main objective of the project is to localize and evaluate inferred resources by P1 and P2 categories, and to prepare recommendations as to the further geological survey within the area.
Geologists will specify more exactly the set of geological and structural, lithologic, magmatic, tectonic, placer, geochemical and geophysical prognostic criteria and characteristics for the area, and distinguish the top-priority sites for the prospecting work. Within those sites, it is expected to identify potentially ore-bearing zones, to study the parametric characteristics thereof, geological and structural as well as morphological properties, the content and distribution of ore mineralization. Then specialists are to identify potential ore bodies, types of geological and industrial mineral deposits, to study the material composition of enclosing rocks and ore minerals as well as processing behaviour thereof.
Following the above described work, it is expected to develop a 1:25000 prognostic map for gold in the Deryas-Yuryaginskaya prospective area on the geological basis, 1:10000–1:5000geological prospecting maps of detailed survey sites, 1:500 surface mining work assay plans, 1:2000 geological sections by drilling profiles, and other graphic materials that substantiate the estimation of inferred resources of gold.
It is expected to complete the project by the end of 2020.

ROSGEO is a Russian multi-industry geological holding company, which offers a full range of geological exploration services from regional surveys to stratigraphic drilling and subsoil monitoring. The holding company boasts unique expertise, particularly in marine geology and shelf operations.
ROSGEO was established by Decree No. 957 of the President of the Russian Federation dated 15 July 2011 on the basis of Tsentrgeologia, one of the oldest exploration companies in Russia. ROSGEO is a fully state-owned company.
The enterprises within the holding company operate in eight federal districts of Russia. ROSGEO has enterprises located across the country. A total of more than 1,000 fields and deposits have been discovered by the holding’s companies, including major hydrocarbon and solid mineral deposits and fields such as the Astrakhan field (2.5 trillion cubic meters of natural gas), the Tengiz field (3.1 billion tonnes of oil), the Kovykta field (1.9 trillion cubic meters of natural gas), the Sukhoi Log deposit (about 2,000 tonnes of gold), the Kursk Magnetic Anomaly, and many others.
ROSGEO’s subsidiaries have rich experience in implementing projects abroad: dozens of new fields and deposits have been discovered in Asia, Europe, Africa, and Latin America.
ROSGEO clients include such companies as Gazprom, Rosneft, Lukoil, Severstal, MMC Norilsk Nickel, Itera, NLMK, Sibuglemet, BP, Chevron, and many others.
