Rosgeo steps up cooperation with Algeria

 

JSC Zarubezhgeology (Moscow, the enterprise is the main operator of foreign projects by JSC Rosgeo) signed a primary technical support agreement with Algerian state exploration company ORGM (Office National Recherche Géologique et Minière) within Innoprom 2018 International Industrial Exhibition in Yekaterinburg. The document was signed in the presence of Algerian Minister of Industry and Mining Youcef Yousfi, ambassador of Algeria in Russia Smail Allaua and head of the Main Department for Commercial Affairs of the Ministry of Industry and Mining of Algeria Djamel-Eddine Shutri.

Subject to the agreement, JSC Zarubezhgeology is to perform service geological work in Democratic People's Republic of Algeria and organize education programs for specialists from the African state.

In addition, Rosgeo delegates headed by the director of International Business Department S.E. Varlamov at the exhibition discussed with Algerian Minister of Industry and Mining Youcef Yousfi and management of Algerian mining and exploration companies prospective and currently ongoing projects in Algeria and opportunities for increasing the volume of cooperation.

Rosgeo delegates took part in the Russian-Algerian business dialogue called “Russia – Algeria: Strategic Partnership” where the holding representatives gave a report about the factors of a successful mutual business cooperation.

Since 2015, JSC Zarubezhgeology has been actively cooperating with partners from Algeria in the area of development of the mineral resources base of solid mineral deposits and raw hydrocarbon deposits in the country.

JSC Zarubezhgeology (Moscow) specializes in the study and assessment of mineral, energy, water, land and other natural resources, geoecological research and project. Over almost a half of century, JSC Zarubezhgeology has rendered technical support in exploration work to 60 foreign countries having more than 30 thousand qualified specialists employed. Based on the work by JSC Zarubezhgeology many countries of Africa, Asia and Latin America developed a mineral resources base of local industry.

ORGM (Office National Recherche Géologique et Minière) is the largest state exploration company of Algeria, founded in 1940. It specializes in prospecting and evaluation work and exploration of solid mineral deposits in Algeria.

INNOPROM is a Russian international industrial exhibition haled in Yekaterinburg every year since 2010. In 2012, the Russian Government assigned a federal status to the exhibition. There are Russian and foreign companies who present their innovative developments and projects.
