Rosgeo and the Nile Province of the Republic of Sudan have made an Agreement of Intent today within the framework of the Russia-Africa Economic Forum.

Sergey Gorkov, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Rosgeo, and Abdel Mahmud Hamad Hussein Adzhmi, the Governor of the Nile Province, signed this agreement.

Under this Agreement the priorities of cooperation between the Parties are to systemize and optimize the geological database related to the mineral potential of the Nile Province, to maintain the geological environmental monitoring, to generate the ore field models, and to control the mineral resource development.

According to the Agreement, Rosgeo will be also engaged in the development of rock processing solutions and selection of appropriate equipment, monitoring of the underground (ground) water conditions, geotechnical surveys of the man-made mineral formation sites, and cartographic and geodetic engineering.

The Parties have agreed to create a permanent working group to study and evaluate the projects of mutual interests.
