In I-st quarter of 2019 GeoKarta Perm (a subsidiary of a state-owned holding RosGeo) by the results of its own surveys identified the promising areas for manganese and strontium within Suksun field.

The field is located in Perm region. The company has been performing there the geological explorations since 2017. The right to survey the field was received by the company following the results of respective tender procedures. The project is funded by the federal budget. The customer is FSBI All-Russian Research Geological Institute named after A.P. Karpinskiy.

In the I-st quarter of 2019 the company continued the additional collection of the analysis results and systematization of the archive materials. The experts performed the integrated geological, geophysical, geochemical interpretation of the materials accumulated by the results of preceding and in-house field surveys, including clarification of the boundaries of the Perm stratified formations and Quaternary sediments, continuation of mapping and map-review works, updating of the geological database, performance of laboratory-analytical studies that confirmed the increased contents of manganese, strontium and gold in the area of Suksun fault within Irensk mangancenous region and potential Suksun stronciomal and Irgino gold-ore regions.

The works on the site will be continued in the II-IV quarters of 2019. The site surveys should be completed by the end of the year.

According to the results the customer will be provided with preliminary modern geological basic maps of 1: 200000 scale (developer version of the State Geological Map 200) for the area of 550 km 2 in digital (GIS) and analogue formats, stratigraphic columns, correlation diagrams, geologic maps, field and laboratory documentation specifying data in terms of age, composition, formation type, tectonic position, boundaries and areas of mappable units. The main result will be an update on the basis of updated geological boundaries of known and newly identified mineralogenic taxons promising in terms of detection of mineral deposits.
